Geum ‘Cooky’ (by Ayeffen)
Grew this and a twin from a division of Ben’s* original plant. Both have just started flowering. :)

My babies at my garden at home. This is the top of the out-house that we built for the cats where all of my potted and still-growing plants are kept before they’re planted out in the garden.
Some of the garden-related pictures you’ve seen so far were taken at http://goodnamesweretaken.tumblr.com’s garden which is mainly our joint project involving lots of growing from seed - both edible and ornamental.
At home I have strawberries hanging from the fence in pots. Mini ones on the right which will be replacing them next year. Elder Sambucus at the back.
Earlier on I re-potted all of the shrubs. Elder, Buddleia and Photinia all grown from cutting or seedling.
Unfortunately I had to give in and cut the whole top off of the Fuchsia that I had grown from cutting into a nice upright standard-shape. The snow killed all of the growth put on over the last couple of years. So all I’m seeing now is little shoots from the very base of the plant. Hopefully I can start again with it.

Went out to sweep the garden. Got a bit carried away and ended up digging up clumps, dividing things and taking cuttings. Free plants ftw.

Did some more gardening today with Ben (http://goodnamesweretaken.tumblr.com/).

Sowed parsnips into loo-roll tubes. Also planted some Tigridia bulbs and then “finished” off the veg patch. When I say “finished” - I mean that the constant digging and filling phase is now over. We just need to mix in some compost and muck in order to make it nice and nutritious for the veg we’re going to plant. :)

Also spotted the first Coleus seed to germinate today. Must be the lovely warm weather we’ve had over the last few days that’s kick-started everything.

Pictures that I’m in were taken by Ben. :)

Getting ready to start in the garden this year has made me look at some old photos. Can look forward to some of these again this year. :D

Can’t believe these are looking like this already. It’s only been 4 days since I planted them! Eager things.

While pondering the approaching arrival of spring, I remembered my Nan bought me some indoor bulbs for Christmas that I still needed to pot up. So here’s the product of that, and what they should look like in the end. (Ideally).
